Bangladesh claims disputed vanishing islandDhaka (AFP) April 10, 2010 Bangladesh claimed sovereignty Saturday over a tiny island at the centre of a dispute between Dhaka and New Delhi, despite claims by Indian researchers that it has disappeared under rising sea levels. China's Hu tells Obama stable, healthy ties neededBeijing (AFP) April 2, 2010 Chinese President Hu Jintao called for stable ties with Washington in a phone call with US leader Barack Obama and said Beijing was willing to work to oppose nuclear proliferation, China said Friday.
