XDLINX Space Labs, a key player in India's space technology sector, has successfully raised $7 million in seed funding. The round was led by Ashish Kacholia of Lucky Investments, with additional support from E2MC, Mana Ventures, and a prominent family office. The funds will be used to drive XDLINX's mission of advancing satellite technology and innovating affordable space solutions.

Founded in 2022 in Hyderabad, XDLINX Space Labs set out to redefine space missions by making satellite technology more accessible. Their first significant achievement was the launch of JANUS-1, a software-defined 6U nanosatellite demonstrating multi-tenancy payload capabilities. Developed in just 10 months, JANUS-1 was launched aboard ISRO's SSLV-D2 rocket on February 10, 2023, significantly reducing both the cost and time for space missions compared to traditional satellite models.

"We are thrilled and excited to announce the funding, which will help us to accelerate the manufacturing of next-generation payloads for defense and commercial missions like E-band communications, Optical and RF intelligence to building space heritage, operationalization of satellite bus platforms, and expand our global presence in the US and UK," said Rupesh Gandupalli, CEO and Co-Founder of XDLINX Space Labs. "We envision a future where space becomes more accessible by building cost-effective satellites using 75% indigenous subsystems. We look forward to contributing to India's growing role in the global space race."

XDLINX is also preparing to launch its next major project, Elevation-1, featuring the world's first miniaturized space-grade E-band payload. Scheduled to launch aboard SpaceX's Transporter-12 mission, Elevation-1 is designed to demonstrate E-band communications with digital modulation, aiming for data rates exceeding 10 Gbps.

In addition, the company is working on a 150KG class satellite that integrates Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Multi-Spectral optical sensors, using their XDSAT-M600 platform, which is expected to launch in Q3-2025. XDLINX is also negotiating contracts for a sub-meter multi-spectral imagery satellite constellation, and has signed MOUs with leading space companies to foster continued collaboration and innovation.
