Northrop Grumman wins British government cyber-security work

The British government has selected Northrop Grumman to provide it with engineering, development and other cyber-security solutions services.

Solutions under the seven-year framework contract, which was competitively awarded, will specifically support data security and information assurance.

"With more than 30 years of cyber-security expertise that has been developed and deployed around the world, we look forward to continuing our work with some of the brightest industry and academic minds to deliver world class operational performance, scaled to the mission, and to increase our U.K.-based workforce that will support cyber innovators of the future."

Northrop Grumman is among a number of companies selected by the government for the cyber-security program.

The monetary value of the award was not disclosed. Additional details of the work to be performed were also not provided.
