The terms of the contract were announced Thursday by the Defense Department, enabling the company to provide advanced radar processor hardware sets for the E-2D Hawkeye, which is the fourth major variant of the Hawkeye aircraft.
The contract, worth more than $11.7 million, is under the terms of a firm-fixed-price delivery order. Specifically, the contract will support the operational testing phase and counter electronic attack development test phase for advanced radar processors between 2019 and 2020, according to the Pentagon.
Work on the contract will occur in New York, Florida and Maryland, and is expected to be completed in November 2019.
U.S. Navy research, development, test and evaluation funds from fiscal year 2017 of more than $11.7 million will be obligated to Northrop Grumman at the time of award, and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
