China has established its first key national laboratory for space cryogenic propellant research, which will provide technological support for the country's future space missions.
Established in a unit under the General Armament Department of the People's Liberation Army, the lab was created to accelerate China's efforts to break the technological bottleneck in the field.
China aims to develop the lab into a major platform for technological innovation in cryogenic engineering, according to an official statement Xinhua obtained Thursday.
