Aerospace Corporation dives into the future

by Staff Writers Los Angeles CA (SPX) Sep 22, 2020 SPX
The Aerospace Corporation has plunged into the future of space and wants to take you along for the ride. In its most recent release, Pathfinder's Guide to the Space Enterprise, Aerospace dives into the possibilities of the future of space, exploring potential convergence points across seven key themes that could shape the final frontier.

The map is designed to take readers on a visceral wild ride through the unknown of space, exploring potential new "jewels of space" and inspiring players from across commercial, private, civil and national security space to take action today to build an abundant space enterprise of the future.

Its creator, Ms. Kara Cunzeman, Lead Futurist for the Center for Space Policy and Strategy at Aerospace, led a team over 70 world-class subject matter experts and bright minds to help create the map. Ms. Cunzeman is a certified foresight practitioner focusing on helping the space enterprise transform to a futures mindset.

"If we aren't consistently scanning the horizon for signals of change and integrating that into our long term thinking in everything we do, then we could be missing big, not just unseen obstacles that could derail our mission, but unforeseen opportunities for us to shape a more desirable future.

"Insight from continuous foresighting practices will help bring innovation where it matters most to build a free, secure, prosperous, and sustainable space ecosystem," Cunzeman states.
