Death toll from Madagascar storm rises to 78: authoritiesAntananarivo (AFP) March 23, 2010 A tropical storm that hit the Indian Ocean island nation of Madagascar this month killed at least 78 people and affected some 145,000, according to a new toll authorities released Tuesday. Madagascar's southeastern regions were the worst affected by tropical storm Hubert, which brought severe weather between March 8 and 12. India withdraws nuclear power bill
New Delhi (UPI) Mar 16, 2009 The Indian government withdrew the introduction of a bill that seeks to limit the liabilities of companies setting up nuclear power plants in the country. The bill would cap to about $65 million the compensation that foreign nuclear operators would be liable for in the event of a nuclear accident.
