Mining is returning to boom times in Australia, a top central bank official said Tuesday, thanks to a spike in investment driven by the rampant resources appetites of India and China. Tibet's exiled spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Wednesday opened a visit to the United States to meet President Barack Obama, infuriating China as it tries to sideline the revered monk.
